Licensed captains, weather-safe

There are two ways to get on a yacht in Dubai. A shared cruise puts you on a large yacht with other guests for two hours around the Marina, the Palm and Burj Al Arab, usually with soft drinks and a light lunch or sunset snacks; it is the cheapest way to see the coastline. A private charter gives you the boat by the hour, with a captain and crew, for your group only: swimming stops, your own music, a barbecue if you like.

We organise both, plus fishing charters and the occasional overnight trip. Every boat is licensed by the Dubai Maritime Authority, carries life jackets for everyone on board and has a captain who decides on weather.

Below you will find what each option costs, how to pick the right size of boat, and what a typical trip looks like. Tell us your date, your group and the occasion and we send options within the hour.

知っておきたいこと

Will I get seasick?+

The Marina, the Palm lagoon and the coast are sheltered and the sea is usually flat. Trips are cancelled or shortened when the wind is up; if you are prone to motion sickness, choose a morning or sunset slot when the sea is calmest.

Can we swim?+

Yes, on private charters at the swimming stops, usually near the Palm or Burj Al Arab. Shared cruises normally do not stop for swimming.

Can we bring our own food and drinks?+

On most private charters yes, including alcohol for guests over 21. Shared cruises include soft drinks and food and do not allow outside alcohol.

How many people fit on a yacht?+

A 50 ft yacht takes up to 12 to 15 guests, 70 ft about 25, 100 ft and above 40 to 80. Licences cap the numbers, and the captain will not exceed them.

What happens if it is cancelled for weather?+

You are moved to another slot or refunded in full. The captain and the maritime authority make the call, not the operator.
